Company

This past weekend, we had some good friends from Albuquerque come to town to visit. They needed a weekend away and we always had lots of fun being together. Our friends, the Starbucks' have 3 great kids as well, and David & I love kids, so we never mind having a couple around the house. We also have another set of good friends who were stationed with us in Albuquerque, stationed with us in San Diego, so it felt like a big reunion all together again!

On Friday, the Starbucks' & I went to the San Diego Safari Park. That is always a fun place to go. We went and had lots of fun, and the animals were so active! I have never seen a Rhino running, let alone bugging the giraffes at the watering hole! One of the best things about the Safari Park is that the enclosures are huge and they put multiple type of animals in each enclosure, making it more like a natural habitat for them.

The Starbuck Family

At the zoo, we saw a Northern White Rhinoceros, which only 6 are alive at this time. The zoo has 2 at this time and they tried to mate them, but unfortunately, the 2 did not have any children. But, they saved some of the eggs and sperm and have it at a frozen zoo! I think it's so amazing the things people can do!

On Saturday, we had a great time with the Starbucks' & Slaughters' exploring Disneyland! I love Disneyland, and we just had so much fun. None of the three kids had any breakdowns, they were happy, and the middle child would say after every ride, "that was sooooo awesome! Best Day Ever!" It was just so cute!

David & I at DisneyLand

Kathleen with her "husbands"

Running joke at David's old office is that we were all married to each other, in other words, we all had multiple spouses...all in good love of David making a plural marriage joke randomly during Toys for Tots...

That evening, after all of the fun festivities at DisneyLand, we went and explored a Medieval Dinner! It was so much fun watching joisting and interesting games and the horses were so pretty!

Sunday rolled around and we were exhausted! I don't think any one of us awoke before 10...or at least it felt that way after going for the last 2 days. We ended our fun weekend with a chilly trip to Coronado Beach. I believe that is my favorite beach and it's so beautiful!

We already miss our good friends and we are looking forward to the next time we might see each other again!

So much fun for the weekend! Glad you guys had such a great time. And at least the plural marriage works both ways in your relationships!
