A+ for Dog Parks

Today we took the dogs to the dog park for the very first time. Wow! what an experience. They made so many friends and had so much fun! When we arrived their was about 15 dogs in the park and they were all playing with each other. Moose did great... other then trying to hump only 3 or 4 dogs and was the recipient of humping from 1 dog. Stella was super timid for the first 10 minutes and had her tail permanently in-between her two hind legs. But after the 10 minutes she started running with the other dogs and Moose would protect her when the other dogs were getting to rough on her. It was so cute. The dog park was huge also, so much room for the dogs to run and do their business. And they even provide little doggie baggies to clean up after them. A few reminders for tomorrow when we take them:
1. Bring a water bowl....it's not easy for a dog to drink out of a water bottle
2. Bring them some toys to share with others i.e. a tennis ball or frisbee
3. Bring snacks for them when they do something good
One thing about Albuquerque is that it's the 3rd friendliest city in America for dogs. We were in old downtown today and so many stores had on it :
OK to bring food in
OK to bring liquid in
OK to bring your pet in
How cool is that, you can bring your pet into the stores to go shopping with you! Now I probably wouldn't take Moose or Stella just because I could see their noses breaking a few things from sniffing, but so cool. Anyway, Albuquerque is getting high on my list of cool places to live.

That's awesome! Glad there were only a few humping incidents :) Is the dog park near your apartment?
